President
Tad's story begins on the seacoast of New Hampshire, where he grew up enjoying various sports such as golf, baseball, hockey, and wrestling. His love for both winter and summer activities in New Hampshire's White Mountains set the stage for a lifelong passion for diverse experiences. During the summers, Tad worked at local restaurants and hotels, sparking his interest in the hospitality industry.
Academic Pursuits and Early Career
After graduating high school, Tad pursued a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Hospitality at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. He also joined the university's nationally ranked wrestling program. Following his freshman year, Tad transferred to Salem State University in Salem, MA, where he completed his degree while working full-time during summers and weekends. This hands-on experience deepened his understanding of the hospitality industry and solidified his commitment to customer service excellence.
Upon graduation, Tad joined a management team overseeing a portfolio of hotels and restaurants across New England. His love for people and the joy of brightening someone's day through exceptional service fueled his dedication to the industry.
Transition to Finance and Key Achievements
In 2012, Tad reached a pivotal crossroads. He decided to shift his focus from direct hospitality management to providing financial solutions for businesses within the hospitality sector—and beyond. Joining a small lending brokerage, Tad quickly became a top performer. His hospitable demeanor and business acumen allowed him to help business owners seize opportunities by providing them with access to capital.
From unboxing his computer on his first day in 2012 to becoming a managing partner in 2019, Tad experienced the highs and lows of building and growing a business. Under his leadership, the firm earned a spot on Inc. Magazine's Inc. 5000 list in 2017, ranking among the top 20% of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. The firm also achieved year-over-year growth during his tenure.
Current Role and Responsibilities
In 2021, Tad founded CapEx Resources, where he serves as President. He is also the founder of Quick Service Capital and oversees a private equity firm that facilitates many of the loans provided by CapEx Resources. Combining his extensive experience in hospitality and small business lending, Tad offers a uniquely hospitable lending experience for his partners, vendors, and customers.
With a career marked by continuous growth, strategic pivots, and a deep commitment to service, Tad remains dedicated to helping businesses thrive through innovative financial solutions. His journey from hospitality management to finance illustrates his versatile expertise and unwavering passion for making a positive impact.
Aside from his work, Tad enjoys spending his time with his family, his daughter Kenzie, wife Hayley, and pet Cockapoo named Woody. He also enjoys traveling with family, trips to the white mountains, golf and social events & staying in touch with friends and family.
